Living with Diabetes

International Experience

We already have four Mobile Diabetes Assessment Units (MDUs) operating across the UK and India. These have allowed us to provide assessments and guidance for the public, especially high-risk groups such as those of South Asian descent.

Timing is Everything

In the UK today, there are over 2.2 million people diagnosed with diabetes. A further 750,000 are estimated to have Type 2 diabetes but don't know it yet.

Early diagnosis can prevent complications further down the line, which is why raising awareness and providing assessment is so crucial in the fight against this condition.

Goa + Mumbai

We operate two Mobile Diabetes Assessment Units (MDUs) in India: one in Goa and on in Mumbai. This allows us to reach many individuals at high risk of developing diabetes, and we are working on expanding the network soon.

In recognition of the immense support and goodwill of Mr Bachchan, The Mumbai MDU is named 'Amitabh'.

Testing + Educating

We don't just test people to see if they have diabetes, we also provide high-quality literature about the risks of a diet high in residual fat and a decline in the amount of exercise by urban-dwellers.

Introducing... LOLIPOP

LOLIPOP is a major UK research study investigating the causes of heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, and other major medical problems. It's designed to help us understand why South Asian people like you and me are at higher risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
